Digital Artwork Association

The Oasis and Endorsement of Digital Art

In the land of “Me; Mine!; I know and you don’t!” is always friction, jealousy, pretense, pride, and arrogance. It’s an aggressive world, a world of Ego. We reject citizenship of this land. In the land of “We; Perhaps; It may be” the inhabitants live without conflict and are naturally tranquil and happy.
The wise man stays here. (Mooji)

The Bygone Days

The beginnings of Digital Artwork movement belongs to Terra Vayú, afterward renamed in Abbildungen Varieté, a group of artists, exploring the area of Modern Expressionism, Surrealism and Ritualistic Music, far back in the eighties. The early multimedia works were triggered by reactions to many weird spiritual, social and political events in the past decades.

Digital Artwork Association was established soon after Slovenian independence and has participated in a series of conceptual studio music performances and surreal painting exhibitions, between 1983 and 2002.

About Digital Artwork Association

Although Digital Artwork Association avoids the status of the association on the physical location, it is nevertheless imaginary or visionary theorization. Though, it emphasizes great importance to, Surreal, Imaginary and Transcendent, under the circumstances, which are powered by the Immanent Transcendent Spirit — the Omnipresent, a.k.a. the Ultimate Dreamer, to which, all space and time events and incidents on this world, are submerged.

Digital Artwork Association is a reflection and response of modern space and time, to relentless frequencies of the electrified digital world, as it is totally and unavoidably, captured and embedded in the global nexus. A virtual community with an imaginary and surrealistic ideology without any national restrictions, that characterize a particular culture. It is conceived as a diverse global digital network and is inherently transnational. Our primary activism is, first of all, the outcome and consequence of well-optimized hardware and its renderings.

The Metacreations

Our digital scenography is the mirror of the extreme saturation period of the present times. And we are using whatever medium, where concepts and symbolics are interwoven to incomprehensible and majestic activity of our Ultimate Dreamweaver.

Although we adore powerful workstations, we prefer to remain promoters and caretakers of healthy ecosystems, consequently, we reflect deeply on a subject of tenuous and fragile future of your world. Rather than active followers of western society rites, we are remaining asocial, but certainly not eccentric. We adore to be the bohemians of surrealism.
Digital Artwork Association doesn’t exist only for its own purpose. We appreciate all sympathizers, although we will never know them, just like we love this world and never possess it. Adore! Luxuriate! Append! yet Outgrow and Transcend.

Rubins Leonard

Rubins Leonard

Rubins is the creator of a very specific expression. His creations are manifested as surreal, fantasy scenographies of great power and expressiveness. Rubins seeks inspiration beyond the boundaries of ordinary perception, combining Cosmic and Earthly levels. Building upon the experience of Surrealism and Theosophy, the artist attempts to generate images digitally, out of fragments that are reflecting through deep introspection and sublime visions. His works fall into the category of the supreme value of Surrealism and Esoteric Arts. His artistic influences are Johfra, Abdul Mother Klarwein, Robert Venosa, Ernst Fuchs, some pioneers of Surrealism, and not to mention the great modern surrealist artists. In his long-lasting career, he participated in many exhibitions.
